In partnership with CIYWR, Inc., F.E.E.D. International is working to provide assistance to a local orphanage, the School for the Blind, and others. In this impoverished area, many families find it difficult to afford school fees and uniforms, but they sacrifice to enable their children to get an education. For many schools, it is a struggle to make them safe and habitable: roof repair, electricity (generators), desks/chairs, more classrooms, current textbooks and supplies, computers, and money for teacher salaries (Many teachers are paid a salary less than $300 USD/month).
In Monrovia, there are also large numbers of youth who were orphaned or abandoned after the recent Civil War. Many live on the streets, surviving however they can. Others reside in orphanages that struggle to provide for the basic needs of the residents. Food, clothing, supplies, and toys were recently donated to a local orphanage and School for the Blind.
Your help is greatly needed. Whatever you can contribute would be highly appreciated. This is an on-going labor of love and support!
